Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married for 29 years and cohosts of Live With Kelly and Mark for the last two. Since Consuelos, 54, took the seat next to his wife in 2023, however, the two see even less of each other than before.

“We work together in the morning and then we usually go off in our separate ways and we see each other for dinner,” Consuelos told Us Weekly exclusively at the Running With the Wolves premiere in New York City on Wednesday, July 23.

The couple first met as costars on All My Children in 1995 and were married the next year. They share sons Michael, 28, and Joaquin, 22, as well as daughter Lola, 24.

Amid her run on All My Children, Ripa, 54, was named cohost of Live alongside Regis Philbin in February 2001, replacing Kathie Lee Gifford.

Philbin, who died in 2020 at age 88, stepped down in 2011, as Ripa stayed on to cohost with Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest before Consuelos stepped in.

After 30 years together, Ripa and Consuelos can look back on their relationship and point to the little things that have made it last.

“I really like my wife. A lot,” Consuelos said. “The love’s always going to be there, but I really like my wife.”

Ripa agreed, adding that the two have “a lot of shared trust.”

“We have a shared history and there’s something really nice,” she said. “Our kids have been watching, like various documentaries about things and they’re like, ‘Were you and Dad alive for that?’ And I go, ‘We were married for that!’ Like, we were married when that happened. So it’s very nice to have a combined decades long history with a person.”

“It’s two people who have a shared interest, that also have developed interests outside of what they commonly share,” she continued. “Two people who maintain their individuality while simultaneously grow together and build the other person up.”

Ripa has spoken about boundaries before. On a February episode of Live, she and Consuelos debated over whether couples should share their locations with each other.

“No, the last thing I want to know is where you are at all times,” she told her husband. “I don’t need to know that. I know where you are here and that’s enough for me.”

“I think it’s a little weird if somebody asks you — if you’re dating and they ask you for your location,” Consuelos added. “It’s something that I think the person should offer to you. ‘Hey, I’m going to share my location with you.’”
