On June 2, 2024, the world stood still for Spencer and Kallie Wright as they held their son Levi in his final moments. The 3-year-old had been critically injured two weeks earlier when his toy tractor veered into a river near their Utah home. Despite initial signs of recovery, Levi’s condition worsened, leading to the family’s heartbreaking decision to remove him from life support.

In a poignant Instagram post, Kallie shared, “A year ago today we held you as you took your last breaths… You stayed with us 17 minutes.” She expressed a profound sense of peace, knowing they had done right by their son. “We live for you! Our love for you is stronger than ever,” she added .

Levi’s obituary, penned by Kallie, described him as “exceptionally thoughtful and considerate for his age,” with a “pure, tender and oversized” heart. He was a “die-hard Grandma’s boy,” loved playing with his sister Steeley, and adored tractors and heavy machinery .

In the wake of their loss, the Wrights established The Levi Wright Foundation to support families facing similar tragedies. They also plan a charity barrel race in his memory, aiming to turn their grief into a force for good .

As the anniversary of Levi’s death passes, his parents continue to honor his memory by sharing their journey of grief and healing. Their story serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the enduring power of love.
